National Bike Challenge – Beginning May 1!
May 1, 2014
The League of American Bicyclists informally issued a challenge to the Urban Land Institute to participate in the National Bike Challenge from May 1 until September 30, 2014.
The Challenge is a nationwide event uniting bicyclists—and encouraging new riders. The goal is to unite 50,000 riders to pedal 30 million miles over the challenge period. The event is free and provides a logging center for users to record miles and to participate in the national community of bicyclists.
Being stewards of building healthy places, the Urban Land Institute has accepted the challenge and created a ULI team for employees to participate. You can sign up for the challenge by clicking the “Join” link at www.nationalbikechallenge.org and creating an account with your ULI e-mail. Please be sure to search for ULI under “Team” when you sign up.
Participation in this challenge is entirely voluntary; however, we encourage you to hop on the saddle and join in.
Basil Hallberg has volunteered to be the ULI lead for this event. If you have any questions about the challenge, please contact Basil at [email protected] or 202-624-7068.
