Kresge Foundation Awards $800,000 to ULI Community Resiliency Program

ULI’s community resiliency program explores how issues related to climate change are affecting the real estate industry and reshaping urban growth patterns. Through the $800,000 grant from The Kresge Foundation, ULI will leverage the substantial expertise of its members to provide guidance on community building in a way that responds to inevitable climate change and sea level rise, and helps preserve the environment, boost economic prosperity, and foster a high quality of life. New ULI Case Study: Community’s Health Amenities Pay Dividends

A master-planned community in Virginia is setting itself apart with its working farm and other health-oriented amenities.  Willowsford is a 4,125-acre master-planned community that includes a range of luxury single-family housing and a wealth of amenities, many related to fostering healthy lifestyles, including a working farm and a farm-to-table focus. The project consists of four noncontiguous villages linked thematically and with shared amenities. A total of 2,195 homes are planned. Read the new ULI Case Study.
