Members from Across The Northeast Corridor Attended “The Growing Power of Urban Retail”

The day-long event explored ways in which urban retail has changed over the past decade—its effect on the urban core, the changing retailer experience, and an increasingly sophisticated demand for “authenticity.” The day began with breakfast and a panel discussion on the transformation of Center City Philadelphia.
Panelists included John J. Connors, Managing Partner, Brickstone Realty; Dan Killinger, Managing Director, National Real Estate Development; Anne Bovaird Nevins, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC). Steve Gartner, Executive Vice President, CBRE moderated the morning panel.
After the panel attendees went on a guided walking including the famed Reading Terminal Market, followed by a luncheon with Maureen McAvey on the challenges and opportunities in urban retail.NE corr
The afternoon panel discusses new ideas and best practices from Washington to Boston.

The day concluded with a Networking Reception at the Stratus Rooftop Lounge, Hotel Monaco.
